26/08/2019 - Kingston Housing Needs Survey

Please take part

Kingston Parish Council has commissioned Action in Rural Sussex to undertake a survey in order to better understand the nature and scale of housing needs in the parish.

We know anecdotally that residents are concerned about affordable housing and housing suitable for older people and those with additional needs but need more accurate information before the Council can consider any further action.

The survey is confidential and will be distributed in September/October. An independent analysis of the results will be provided in a report for the Council.

Contact Chris Moulder Vice Chair KPC if you have queries about the survey

Just over a mile away from the town of Lewes and nestling at the foot of the Sussex Downs, Kingston is protected on its northern and western sides by high ranges of hills.

Many of the older houses are in the original village centre "The Street", with an interesting and picturesque mix of cottages and larger farmhouses as well as the local 14th Century pub The Juggs and St Pancras Church.

The village offers a number of recreational facilities through its two greens, parish hall and community pavilion as well as being an ideal base for walkers and cyclists to explore the beautiful South Downs and surrounding areas.
