21/02/2018 - New Recycling Wheeled Bin Service

 

The new recycling wheeled bin service will be rolling out in Kingston very soon. Information packs will be arriving on constituents door steps week commencing 19th February. The bins will then be delivered week commencing 5th and 12th March.

 

The areas to be covered in this 3rd Phase of the roll out are:

 

Kingston

Swanborough

Iford

Northease

Southease

Piddinghoe

Telscombe Village

Rodmell

Falmer

Firle

Beddingham

21/11/2017 - SDNP Local Plan - KPC Response

 

Kingston Parish Council has completed and submitted its response to the South Downs National Park Local Plan Pre-Submission Consultation.

 

The council response document can been seen here along with appendix 1 Affordable Housing.

 

The council would like to thank all those residents who have shared their thoughts during the local discussion process.

All are welcome to attend the Kingston Parish Council Meeting to be held on Wednesday 14 March 2018. 7pm at the Kingston Community Pavilion.

 

20/04/2018 - Annual Parish Meeting 2018

 

This year's Annual Parish Meeting will be held on Friday 20th April 2018 at the Parish Hall, The Street. The meeting will start at 7.30pm. More details to follow!

Just over a mile away from the town of Lewes and nestling at the foot of the Sussex Downs, Kingston is protected on its northern and western sides by high ranges of hills.

 

Many of the older houses are in the original village centre "The Street", with an interesting and picturesque mix of cottages and larger farmhouses as well as the local 14th Century pub The Juggs and St Pancras Church.

 

The village offers a number of recreational facilities through its two greens, parish hall and community pavilion as well as being an ideal base for walkers and cyclists to explore the beautiful South Downs and surrounding areas.
