Bus Service Improvement Plan Survey

East Sussex County Council is developing a Bus Services Improvement Plan and want to hear from local residents about what would make you use the buses more. They are keen to hear from residents, whether or not you use the bus, and the survey can be found at https://consultation.eastsussex.gov.uk/economy-transport-environment/bsip/

Saxondown Easement Funds

As you are probably aware, council has been looking into Kingston residents’ many suggestions for potential projects that would benefit from funding from the Saxondown easement windfall. There were some cracking ideas, and we have drawn up a shortlist of those which we are able to deliver (ie which meet the exacting requirements of what the council is allowed to spend this money on). This shortlist will be discussed and ratified at the forthcoming Parish Council Meeting in September (see below). It will subsequently be published through our various communication outlets, including the KPC website and Kingston News. We look forward to comments from Kingston residents on these proposals, which we will take into account before making our final decision about how the funds are allocated.
